Cricklade is located just off the A419 mid-way between Swindon and Cirencester. The settlement dates back to Saxon times and it's the first town on the River Thames.
You can walk or cycle down the picturesque Thames Path which passes through the town, near to The Vale, and the Fritillaries meadow (North Meadow) is a site of special scientific importance and a popular walking spot.
The Cotswold Water Park is nearby and here you can walk, cycle, fish, GO-Kart, Water-SKi and Ride Jet Bikes. The canal also runs thourgh this area and is a currently in the process of being re-commisioned.
